Harold “Skip” Briggs Jr. CPA/PFS, CFP®
Skip established the Briggs Advisory Group team in 2002 and is the founding Principal of the firm. With the assistance of our integrity-driven team and over 34 years extensive tax and wealth advisory experience, Skip works to ensure the design and implementation of tax-optimized, goal-focused, planning-driven wealth management solutions to help meet each client’s unique needs. In addition to being a CPA and CFP® professional, Skip has passed the FINRA Series 7 and 66 exams as well as the Rhode Island insurance license. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Financial Planning Association and is a member of the Presidents Council at Meeting Street Center. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in accounting from Bryant University in 1983. Skip has previously served terms as treasurer at the Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce, treasurer and vice president at Meeting Street Center, treasurer of the Scituate/Foster Little League and member of the Professional Advisory Council at the Rhode Island Foundation. Prior to his time at Briggs Advisory Group, he held positions of managing director, tax partner and tax director at a variety of firms.
